Today on the Cooking in Sanity project I made a cheese and mushroom sauce as well as julienned vegetables. I served the sauce and vegetables with my fish poached in white wine. Now, I am not a fan of mushrooms at all, and I have never heard of cheese being paired with fish, but I decided to be brave and do it for Julia. Here’s how I did it:
The cheese and mushroom sauce tasted…interesting. I was definitely not a fan, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. I think I’ll stick to cheese-free fish, and I won’t be eating a bowl of mushrooms anytime soon. I’m glad I tried it, and now I can at least say I tried it and didn’t like it.

The Side Dish: I have to say, it was quite comical watching Lizzie cringe while cooking this variation. She loathes mushrooms and I burst out laughing when she ate a bite. I love mushrooms so at least this dish didn't go to waste.
