The Cooking In Sanity Project: Chocolate-Butter Icing, Glacage au Chocolat

Hey everyone!

Today on the Cooking in Sanity project I made Chocolate Butter Icing.  I’m normally not a fan of icing – I think it’s too thick and sugary most of the time.  However, this icing was super delicious and only made the Chocolate Almond cake better.  See how I made it here:



It was nice and light but still had a nice flavor.  Super simple to make, too!  

The full recipe can be found in Mastering the Art of French Cooking (2 Volume Set). I think every good cook deserves to have a copy of Julia Child’s masterpiece in their kitchen.
